On your way to Laurel Ridge or during your stay, here is an activity list you can use as a starting point to plan your getaway.

The nearby town of Siler city offers the North Carolina Arts Incubator and gallery. Also in the historic district is a walking tour of the hand-painted murals on downtown buildings depicting scenes of local history. Just south of town is the Horizon Cellars Winery, which offers monthly barrel room dinners. Spend the evening at Laurel Ridge and enjoy their dinner and wine. Other wineries of the Piedmont and Haw River area are an easy drive from Laurel Ridge.

Chatham County boast a large community of artisians. One of the local potters featured here at Laurel Ridge is Stone Crow Pottery located on Hwy. 15/501 at the Haw River between Chapel Hill and Pittsboro.



The Chatham County Arts Council and the Annual Artisian Studio Tour, the first two weekends of December, are great resources to find about the diverse artists who live and work here.

Attend the Shakori Hill Grassroots Festival in April or October, just a short 15 minutes drive from Laurel Ridge.

The Liberty Antiques Fair, one of the largest in the South, is just 15 minutes away every April and September
